Marathon Patent Group, a US-based crypto firm, has installed 700 mining ASICs for Bitcoins.
A firm in the United States known as Marathon Patent Group has shown its support for Bitcoin mining by installing up to 700 units of BTC mining Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) units.
The mining units installed are products of MicroBT. Marathon Patent Group has also ordered for 1,160 AntminerS19 Pro units from BitMain.
Bitmain is known to create products that the market likes. In less than 24 hours after they started taking orders for Antminer S19s and S19 Pros, they delivered their first batch of these products. On the first day of June 2020, Bitmain launched another one called Antminer T19. This one has SHA256 and a hash rate of 84 TH/s so it is very fast.
A company with so much hashrate
The Antminer S19 Pro which Marathon Patent Group has called for is even bigger and has a hashrate of 110 TH/s. It saves energy due to its high efficiency of 29.5±5% J/TH. Once they land, Marathon Patent Group will be controlling 127.500 PH/s hashrate. If this is added to the 700 ASICs already installed, their total hashrate will be 197.600 PH/s.
This is happening few days after Adam Traidman of SBI Ripple Asia said that the west will overtake the east in mining cryptocurrencies. With the latest developments, he is optimistic that this is the beginning of the new age.
