Opera Introduces More Ways to Fund Crypto Wallets in The U.K.

Buying cryptocurrency in the UK has just been made easier by Opera. It can now be done through banks or the Revolut digital banking app.

Well-known web browser known, Opera, has added extra features to its support for cryptocurrency and this time, UK residents are the latest beneficiaries. They can now add crypto to their wallet with a variety of options.

The U.S. and some countries in Europe were the first to enjoy the easy top-up service from Opera. The U.K. now enjoys it following collaboration between Opera and Ramp Network.

Features of the service

On Ramp Network’s Twitter page, it says: “Using open banking APIs to connect crypto with fiat. You can use it now…” Its collaboration with Opera comes with the benefit of spending lower fees for a top-up.

Crypto operations leader at Opera, Charles Hamel, says only Ethereum will be available when the service kicks off but that other cryptos will definitely join in a short while.

That was how Opera’s wallet started in 2018. It supported only few currencies at first but now has BTC, ETH and a variety of ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens.

Hamel mentioned that Opera’s wallet supports the most important 100 digital assets at the moment. He praised Opera for being the first major web browser to expand into cryptocurrency. Today, more than 170,000 people are active on Opera’s crypto wallet on a monthly basis.

Opera adopts blockchain massively

Opera browser has continued to improve its crypto services since 2018 when Android users began to own its crypt wallet. Four months ago, Opera started allowing web surfers to have access to decentralized websites and blogs by partnering with Unstoppable Domains, which is greatly supported by Tim Draper, an investor in the crypto industry.

Some months ago, Opera launched Bitcoin and Ether wallets for people living in the U.S. and they could also buy cryptocurrencies with their debit cards and from Apple Pay.
