Employees of Coinbase Likely to Work from Home after the Lockdown

Coinbase will present an offer to employees to either work from home or their offices after the lockdown.

This was made known by the CEO, Brian Armstrong in a statement:

“After the restrictions of quarantine are over, Coinbase will embrace being ‘remote-first’, meaning we will offer the option to work in an office or remotely for the vast majority of roles.”

The reason for this is to prevent clustering of workers and to prevent the risks of spreading diseases such as the present COVID-19.

The new idea came up after weeks of obeying social distancing orders from the government. Coinbase now sees that it is even possible to have a less complex organization while achieving the same feat.

According to Armstrong, since workers have to be at least 6 feet away from each other at any point in time, it won’t be possible to welcome everyone back to the headquarters. This innovation is therefore considered a welcome idea to keep making the crypto move.

Armstrong strongly believes that this decision will be embraced by every stakeholder and that many other organizations will follow suit in no time. He explains that since Coinbase promotes economic freedom, there should not be a conservative way in achieving it.

Coinbase Ready for Cosmos Staking
Coinbase has announced that there will be rewards for those who will partake in staking Cosmos. According to Bryce Ferguson, the product manager of Coinbase, staking will be risk free as Coinbase will take care of any losses.

This will be quite different from the usual occurrence when staking is done to a PoS network, where slashing happens and stakers incur losses. Coinbase pointed out that even if this happens, investors’ funds will be recovered.
