It is likely that more donations will still come.
Integro Foundation and Binance Charity brought out $1 million to buy PPEs for those who are taking care of COVID-19 patients.
Up to 500,000 KN-95 masks will be bought and sent to COVID-19 care givers in several countries including Nigeria, Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Argentina and many others. This is part of the way the crypto space is helping to stop the spread of COVID.
Integro’s contribution to the $1 million donation was $333,000 while Binance brought the rest. According to Brock Pierce, the chairman of Integro’s board and now more popularly known as a presidential candidate for the U.S. elections, more than $1 million may be realized in the end.
“Binance Charity is a global large-scale organization that relies on digital currency donations. We’re very grateful that Binance Charity has partnered with Integro Foundation to turn their focus on to Puerto Rico, and provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to continue to bring more donations and relief efforts to the Caribbean Islands through these partnerships.”
This is not the first time the crypto community is doing something to help minimize the effects of COVID-19. The crypto community is optimistic that COVID-19 can even make more people to learn more about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
